What is kava?
Kava is a member of the pepper family (don’t worry - not spicy) that is native to the western Pacific islands. Pacific islanders and people around the world have consumed the root of the kava plant for thousands of years as a natural way to relax.
How will I feel after drinking Slide?
As with most dietary supplements, Slide’s effects vary from person to person. Most people should expect just one can of Slide to leave them feeling relaxed and calm, but feel free to drink two or three cans in a session if you really want to kick back. Some people report a “reverse tolerance” when using kava. In these cases, kava becomes more effective over time as people become accustomed to its unique properties; if you do not feel relaxed the first time you drink a can of Slide, you may be experiencing this common reverse tolerance.
Is it normal for my mouth to feel numb after drinking Slide?
Yes. Many people experience mouth numbness or tingling after consuming kava. In fact, this feeling is often prized by kava drinkers as a sign of high quality. Typically, people will notice their mouths numbing before they feel kava’s other relaxing effects.
How long does it take to feel Slide’s effects and how long do they last?
About 10 minutes after drinking Slide, you will begin to feel your mouth numbing or tingling. Shortly after, you should begin to feel more calm and relaxed. While everyone is different, the relaxing effects of Slide build for about 60 minutes after finishing a can before slowly tapering off.
Do I need to refrigerate Slide?
No. Slide is fine to store at room temperature, but it is best served chilled.
What is Slide’s shelf life/expiration date?
Slide is shelf stable for one year.
Is it normal to see sediment in my Slide?
Yes. Slide contains kava suspended within carbonated liquid, so some kava particles may settle at the bottom of the product. We recommend gently agitating or rotating your can of Slide prior to drinking it.
Will Slide leave me groggy or give me a hangover?
No. You should expect Slide to take the edge off after a long day, but it is alcohol-free and will not leave you groggy or hungover.
Can I drive after drinking Slide?
No, you should not drive or operate heavy machinery after drinking Slide.

What is Slide’s standing with the FDA?
Slide is manufactured in accordance with FDA compliance standards and we ensure that our products are of the highest quality. However, the FDA advises that there is a potential risk of rare, but severe, liver injury associated with kava-containing dietary supplements. You should consult a healthcare professional before consuming Slide if you have or have had liver problems or take any medications.
When should I drink Slide? Can I mix it with medication or alcohol?
Drink Slide at any time you would like to feel at ease, but we do not recommend combining it with prescription medication or alcohol.
Can I drink Slide while pregnant or lactating?
We do not recommend drinking Slide if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How old do I need to be to try Slide?
There are no laws setting the minimum age for consuming kava. Since Slide is a functional beverage that relaxes users, we recommend consuming our product only if you are 18 years or older.
